Sarah Azpeitia is a Mexican designer who has lived and worked in New Orleans, New York City, and Bangkok.
She has built brands and product for several industries as part of the in-house design teams at Klarna, Refinery29, Agoda, and Big Spaceship. She collaborated with companies and non-profits like 826NYC, Ceylon by Anim Labs, and Dear World, SuperFriendly, the Mexican Department of State –SRE, and Meta.
Sarah was an active AIGA member since her time as an undergrad, and in 2015 was a finalist in the annual competition, Command X. She also participated in NEA’s designer-founder program In The Studio.
In 2018, Sarah founded Galeria Rosa, a Bangkok-based screenprinting studio and pop-up gallery publishing limited artist editions. The inaugural collection featured work by: Pui Yan Fong, Jeff Ross, Jittagarn Kaewtinkoy, Ricardo González (itsaliving), Greg Gazdowicz, Ray Masaki, Miguel Reyes, Juan Villanueva, and Javier Viramontes.
Her education has spanned from taking classes at SVA’s RisoLab, to studying type design at Type@Cooper’s extended program. In 2012, she graduated with a BA in Visual Arts - Graphic Design from Loyola University New Orleans. Sarah is an avid language lover and is fluent in both Spanish and English; she has also studied French, German, Arabic, Russian, Thai, and Japanese.
